Hobbits's Wisdoms

Do you love Lord of the Rings? I do. We saw the first one in the theater probably 4 times. Anyhow, I am always astounded by the wisdom of hobbits--their focus on family, home, and of course, food.

Well, here's a bit of hobbit wisdom I feel like spouting every Monday.

Happy Friday!

Did you like Lord of the Rings? Who was your favorite hobbit?

The blog tour continues...

Jane Eyre meets Supernatural.

Alexia’s nightmares become reality: a dead baron, red-eyed wraiths, and forbidden love with a man hunted by these creatures. After an attack close to home, Alexia realizes she cannot keep one foot in her old life and one in this new world. To protect her family she must either be sold into a loveless marriage, or escape with her beloved and risk becoming one of the Soulless.

Elizabeth Seckman dares you to guess the lie in Crystal's musical life.

  8. Fave Hobbit? Samwise Gamgee, no question.

  9. I can't answer that question, right now. I'm in pre-Hobbit (the movie) depression while also reading the book (again) which makes me even more depressed about the movie.

  11. I always liked the closeness of the hobbits, but I'm a Legolas fan.

  12. My favorite is Samwise Gamgee and least favorite is Frodo, yah, yah, he was brave and all that bs but he was also whiny. I loved the scene where Sam says, “That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.”

  13. I've read the books, but never seen the movies. I gave fancy extended DVDs of them to The Hurricane. She watched them over and over, but I saw only bits and pieces.

    Love,

  18. I love them all ~ and don't forget, they also like a good pint of brew, as do I. Thanks for stopping by. As far as the weather goes, we have suffered through a long, hot summer and a two-year drought, so all this rain is very welcome here. The snow will be too. I lived in So Ca. for over 30 years, then we retired to the mountains, so snow, but it melts right away, so no shoveling.

  19. Second weekend? I definitely want one of those. I guess I call those vacations. :)
Hobbits are very wise. :) My favorite hobbit is probably Bilbo, because he's the first hobbit I met in the pages of a book.
