Do you love Lord of the Rings? I do. We saw the first one in the theater probably 4 times. Anyhow, I am always astounded by the wisdom of hobbits--their focus on family, home, and of course, food.

That image is brilliant and I think I should start attaching it to every work e-mail I send on Mondays.
ReplyDeleteEvery. Single. One.
Do it. You should. ;)
DeleteBest trilogy ever. Second weekend, second breakfast, second... well, I'll just stop there.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I'll second that. ;)
DeleteAh! I see what you did there. *wink*
DeleteI don't have a fave, but I LOVED the book in 6th grade, and I thought the film had INCREDIBLE art direction.
ReplyDeleteIt really did. Magnificent visualization of the stories. It was nice to finally see fantasy done right in film.
DeleteI love that picture, so reading it in Pippin's voice. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, they're some of my favourite movies ever.
ReplyDeleteMe too! How can you not read that and hear Pippin?
DeleteOMG! Why didn't someone tell me about SECOND WEEKEND???
ReplyDeleteNeed.
yes, Need.
You and me both, woman.
DeleteSecond weekend sounds scrumptious!!!
ReplyDeleteEspecially if there's cheese involved!
DeleteMerry and Pippin are my favorites~ I'm a sucker for comic relief :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! In Firefly, my favorite was Jane Cobb for that same reason.
DeleteFave Hobbit? Samwise Gamgee, no question.
ReplyDeleteHe's an awesome one, that guy.
DeleteI can't answer that question, right now. I'm in pre-Hobbit (the movie) depression while also reading the book (again) which makes me even more depressed about the movie.
ReplyDeleteBrrr? That's not cool. It's going to be AWESOME. Here, have some cheese.
DeleteNo, it's going to be a steaming pile of poo, just like the first one.
DeleteSecond? Pfft, let's get to third. Ha, love those hobbits. Right now I have to pick Samwise, he really stuck by Frodo.
ReplyDeleteThree weekends in a row? Okay, you twisted my arm. ;)
DeleteI always liked the closeness of the hobbits, but I'm a Legolas fan.
ReplyDelete*gasp* ;)
DeleteMy favorite is Samwise Gamgee and least favorite is Frodo, yah, yah, he was brave and all that bs but he was also whiny. I loved the scene where Sam says, “That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.”
ReplyDeleteSia McKye Over Coffee
Seconded.
DeleteI've read the books, but never seen the movies. I gave fancy extended DVDs of them to The Hurricane. She watched them over and over, but I saw only bits and pieces.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Really? How is that possible? *jaw hanging*
DeleteWilly Dunne Wooters doesn't like Star Wars! Can you believe that?
DeleteI do not like it my my family love it. Thank you for visiting my blog following you by bloglovin follow back thanks.

Really? Well, you probably like cucumbers too, eh? ;)
DeleteI don't know much about Lord of the Rings, so...not a fan by default. XD
ReplyDelete=( *puppy dog eyes* How is that possible?
DeleteIf it makes you feel better, I also don't know anything about Harry Potter and a bunch of other popular franchises. I'm pop-culture deficient, haha.
DeleteLoved the Lord of the Rings! I think Sam's my favorite hobbit, and I still sometimes ask what's for second breakfast. ;)
ReplyDeleteLevensies too? ;)
DeleteSam, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteOf course!
DeleteI love Lord of the Rings! My mother and I have a Lord of the Rings movie festival at home every year . Sam is definitely my favorite and I just so happen to love food just as much as a hobbit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! We have hobbit fest every so often where we make a hobbit meal and rewatch the movies.
DeleteI love them all ~ and don't forget, they also like a good pint of brew, as do I. Thanks for stopping by. As far as the weather goes, we have suffered through a long, hot summer and a two-year drought, so all this rain is very welcome here. The snow will be too. I lived in So Ca. for over 30 years, then we retired to the mountains, so snow, but it melts right away, so no shoveling.
ReplyDeleteI miss my mountains. They're so beautiful and inspiring.
DeleteSecond weekend? I definitely want one of those. I guess I call those vacations. :)
ReplyDeleteHobbits are very wise. :) My favorite hobbit is probably Bilbo, because he's the first hobbit I met in the pages of a book.
Ah, a very excellent choice. Bilbo is pretty awesome.
DeleteI love the whole Lord of the Rings movies and have watched them multiple times. Wouldn't a second weekend be great?
ReplyDeleteAnd a third. ;)
DeleteA fellow cheese lover! :) And I'd definitely be Bilbo...though some would say I'm more of a wizard. :) You're welcome to copy the poem "Spirited". I haven't submitted that one and I'm honored you appreciated it.
ReplyDelete=) Yay! Bilbo, cheese and poetry it is!
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with Sam. Hobbits are loyal too...got to love that!
Definitely. That's why they make such great protagonists. =)
DeleteLooove LOTR! I've been waiting and waiting for Chelsea to see it, she keeps saying she wants to finish the books first. She needs to hurry it up! :)
ReplyDeleteI have never read any books in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. *goes to hang face in shame*
ReplyDeleteBut I have watched the three LOTR movies!
www.modernworld4.blogspot.com
Great blog. I just popped over from Janie Junebug's blog.
ReplyDeleteRick Watson (your latest follower).
Samwise, all the way!! Followed by Pippin. :) Sam's my favorite character of the entire trilogy. And I loved the movies. We own the director's cuts.
ReplyDeleteThough I have to give some love to Tom Bombadil.
there's so much we can learn from those lil hobbits..
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of LOTR :)
