It's day 11 of the book release blog tour. Yippee!
A quick shout to all the Veterans out there on this Veterans day. WE LOVE YOU!!! Thank you isn't enough to express our gratitude and awe. You are the best.
Moving on...
See the disappearing cheese? I'm eating it just that fast and it's replenishing. That, or I'm altering time just to mess with you. Speaking of time manipulation

You're right that "thank you" just isn't enough to express how much we owe to our veterans. They've sacrificed so much. I'm in awe of them too. When it comes to cheese, some cheeses are meant to be eaten slowly and savored, especially those with stronger flavors. I say meant to be eaten slowly, because I never manage to. I gobble them up way too quickly :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm with you on the cheese. It's like candy around here.
DeleteIt's not enough. Those men and women served and defended our country. They deserve our highest respect.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I wish there was a way to truly show them our gratitude.
DeleteI'm celebrating several veterans. My family is filled with them. Thank you for honoring them here.
ReplyDeletePass my thanks on to them!
Deletelots of veterans in my family, including my grandfathers!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You must come from a very service-oriented family.
DeleteHappy Veteran's Day! My Dad, Grandfather, and several other relatives served in the military. I appreciate the sacrifice active and retired members make/have made. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen, and tell them thanks from me!
DeleteHa! I'm beginning to understand your comment about cheese on my blog a bit better now. As a fellow lover of cheese, I'm with you. I LOVE cheese. Bring on the cheese!!
ReplyDeleteLOL. *high five* We rock.
DeleteHi Crystal - yes I definitely remember and reflect on all who served ... We will have Remembrance Sunday as it's been changed from the 11th to the nearest Sunday ...
ReplyDeleteAs for cheese - I'm always happy to eat and eat quickly ... trouble is then I don't feel so good! Cheers Hilary
Hilary, I like that idea. Sunday is a very appropriate day to honor Veterans.
DeleteLOL! Maybe best to savor and prolong the torture, eh?
I'm remembering my brother, uncle, and cousin on this day. Rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteManipulating time would be wonderful. Haven't figured out how yet. Have a great weekend.
Beverly, it has a little something to do with this doohickey I keep locked in my basement, and the scientists who keep it company...locked in the basement. Of course, there's a HUGE expense for keeping them fed and powering the, erm, secret helper of stuff. Most of my time is dedicated to bending time to raise funds and support said doohicky & staff. ;)
DeleteWow, you're all over the blogosphere lately. Hurray for Timeless! (And cheese. We must never forget the cheese. LOL.)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I know, I know. Don't worry. One more week and I'll fade from the spotlight. ;)
DeleteIf only I could manipulate time...
ReplyDeleteThe only vet I know is my father. I don't know what's he's up to today. (I'll see him tomorrow.)
Wait, you mean you haven't learned how yet? ;)
DeleteCould you manipulate time so I can have a couple extra days a week? I'm running a little behind. But never rush cheese. It's meant to be savored.
ReplyDeleteHm. You know, there is a price to pay for messing with the time stream: premature aging, disappearing cheese, memory lapses... You might be happier as is.
DeleteI have to cut down on the cheese due to high cholesterol :( All in moderation, right?
ReplyDeleteWishing you much success on your new release!!!
I guess that means you need to eat ONLY the best cheese, eh?
DeleteCelebrate ALL the vets! Off to check out the blog tour stops now.
ReplyDeleteYES. Thanks, Stephanie.
DeleteTo be honest, I'm kind of a slow cheese eating kind of guy. Unless it's on Mac and Cheese. that I can eat pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteSavor it. You're a truly smart man.
DeleteI love cheese- all cheese! Love the thought of time manipulation. Sometimes I wonder what people from Jane Austen's world would think if they could have time traveled to our era!! Thought of that as a book. .
ReplyDeleteYikes, I think they'd be equal parts fascinated and disgusted, eh?
DeleteYour cheese gifs are hilarious! At any given time I have 4 or more different cheeses in my fridge. If I still lived in the US, I'd have a lot more but the choices here are limited. Congrats again on your new book & have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you. Thankfully there's a decent selection here...mostly because of Sams Club. Right now I have 7 cheeses, but that's a pretty poor representation for us. Come Thanksgiving, there will be at least 12.
DeleteManipulate time? I'd add a few more hours...OK, a lot more hours...to Saturday and Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good deal to me. So if I disappear, I'm in negotiations with the physics police of our universe, seeing if I can work a deal.
DeleteCrystal, I'd rather eat my cheese slow to enjoy it. :) I'm not sure if I've ever dreamed about time manipulation, other than wishing I could change things from the past as long as it didn't screw something up in my future. Oh yes, I have a family full of Vets and am thankful for each one for their brave service. If it weren't for them then we wouldn't be able to enjoy the freedoms we have today. God bless America!
ReplyDeleteIndeed--God bless America, and all those who keep it safe. They're incredible men and women.
DeleteYou would change your past? I've thought about that a few times, and the reality is, my past is what defines me. I wouldn't change it, because it would change me. As hard as the lessons are to learn, they make us better...even if it is just in the wisdom realm.
Thanks to all of the vets!
ReplyDeleteI love cheese and can eat it pretty fast too. :)
Love that your blog tour is going so well. Look at all those stops! Yeah!
~Jess
I know! And there's still one week to go! In sanity.
DeleteAwesome on so many blog stops! All the best!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nas.
DeleteDefinitely with you on thanking our veterans. Several people in my family have served and I've always been grateful for everyone who has.
ReplyDeleteAs for time manipulation, I've never come up with a good story involving that, but I've read quite a few. It seems to really, really complicate things... >_<
It's definitely one of those things you have to think out WELL in advance, so you don't trip on any of the details along the way.
DeleteI eat chocolate faster than cheese but the cheese still disappears mighty fast.
ReplyDeleteLol! I can believe it.
Deleteif me could manipulate time, me would definitely go into future, not into past
ReplyDeleteWant to see the next crazy scientific developments, eh?
DeleteHope you're having fun on tour! It's certainly a hectic one with all those stops but that's all good. So important to remember our veterans.
ReplyDeleteNick, that's the way I like it, intense. :)
