TIME IS THE ENEMY

In 1771, Alexia had everything: the man of her dreams, reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But she was never meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and traveled five hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.

In the thirteenth century, the Holy Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to exterminate the Passionate, her bloodline. As Alexia fights this new threat—along with an unfathomable evil and her own heart—the Soulless genesis nears. But none of her hard-won battles may matter if she dies in childbirth before completing her mission.

Can Alexia escape her own clock?

    1. Yay! It's definitely a highly entertaining story. My copy editor had to edit it backwards so she wouldn't get sucked into the book and miss something. --And that was on the second time through.

  3. I remember an episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon says he doesn't put money in banks because he believes when the machines rise up, the ATMs will lead the charge. :)

  5. I'd still rather time travel in a phone booth than an ATM! Hehehe!

  7. Can't beat the DeLorean! I've got a soft spot for Back to the Future because it was the first movie I saw at the cinema (aged 4). It made an impression!

    1. I also love the DeLorean, flawed as it is. Flux capacitor and all. *sigh* It seemed like it took forever for the third movie to come out, eh?

  8. I did love SLIDERS TV series with Jerry O'Connell and Jonathan Rhys Davies, if you remember it, but it was a travel through dimensions.... Two new time travelling series are coming our way this Autumn, though, TIME AFTER TIME at ABC and TIMELESS at NBC

    1. Sliders was epic. I saw the ad for TIME AFTER TIME. I'm actually pretty excited about that one, but I missed TIMELESS.

  12. Congrats on Timeless, Crystal. I love, love, love time travel stories, everything from Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court to Gabaldon's Outlander series—book and film versions.

    1. I wasn't sure how I felt about writing them until this one, but it's actually pretty fun writing across time streams...and really tricky.

  13. If ATMs were time machines, would there be a charge for time travel? Or would there only be a charge if I time traveled with another bank?

    1. You're making my brain hurt, woman! I'm thinking I own the ATM, so that solves both problems.

  14. Time machine ATMs, that would be a fabulous idea for a book.

  15. I know what my least favorite time machine is - the one from the movie "The Time Machine." I saw it when I was a child and it scared the heck out of me. I read the book later and it scared the heck out of me too. Probably not so much the machine as the scary Morlock of the future.

  23. Actually I think your question about time vs freedom isn't as "not deep" as you think. I heard recently that Amazon is offering workers the opportunity to have more vacation time with 25% less pay … or they can keep their regular work schedule. What would you if given the option? I know for me it's a difficult choice. You can't do much without money, but, if you have a crazy work schedule, it's hard to have time to do anything.

Either way, yay for the blog tour!

Time machines, ha ha. I love the idea of time travel but I'd be worried about getting injured or imprisoned in an era whose rules I didn't understand. Or, you know, eaten by a dinosaur...
