TIME IS THE ENEMY
In 1771, Alexia had everything: the man of her dreams, reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But she was never meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and traveled five hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.
In the thirteenth century, the Holy Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to exterminate the Passionate, her bloodline. As Alexia fights this new threat—along with an unfathomable evil and her own heart—the Soulless genesis nears. But none of her hard-won battles may matter if she dies in childbirth before completing her mission.

What's your favorite time machine in literature or the movies?
If they are, I'm raiding one now!
ReplyDeleteRight!?!
DeleteYou and Alex are so funny. Love your cover! Been seeing it everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's been everywhere. My blogland takeover is going smoothly. ;)
DeleteMy very first impression: That cover exudes fun!!
ReplyDeleteYay! It's definitely a highly entertaining story. My copy editor had to edit it backwards so she wouldn't get sucked into the book and miss something. --And that was on the second time through.
DeleteI remember an episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon says he doesn't put money in banks because he believes when the machines rise up, the ATMs will lead the charge. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! YES. Now we know why.
Deletethat cover tho!! I LOVE IT <3
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton! It's pretty epic, eh? *high fives cover designer*
DeleteI'd still rather time travel in a phone booth than an ATM! Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. So much more elbow space.
DeleteI like your time funnies!
ReplyDeleteLovely cover.
Thanks Rebecca. When I come to the party, I bring the cheese. ;)
DeleteCan't beat the DeLorean! I've got a soft spot for Back to the Future because it was the first movie I saw at the cinema (aged 4). It made an impression!
ReplyDeleteI also love the DeLorean, flawed as it is. Flux capacitor and all. *sigh* It seemed like it took forever for the third movie to come out, eh?
DeleteI did love SLIDERS TV series with Jerry O'Connell and Jonathan Rhys Davies, if you remember it, but it was a travel through dimensions.... Two new time travelling series are coming our way this Autumn, though, TIME AFTER TIME at ABC and TIMELESS at NBC
ReplyDeleteSliders was epic. I saw the ad for TIME AFTER TIME. I'm actually pretty excited about that one, but I missed TIMELESS.
DeleteSo pumped for you, Crystal! Can't wait until the release date:) :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mark! I can. Actually, I could use a whole extra 2 months to get ready, but you know how it goes.
DeleteLaughing at Madeline's comment because that was the first thing I thought of.
ReplyDeleteHope your cover reveal is going well!
You know what they say about great minds...
DeleteI adore your new cover! I saw it on Alexia's blog a couple of days ago, and I'll be plugging her page with your cover & rafflecpter on it this Friday on my blog. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton, Lexa. That rocks!
DeleteCongrats on Timeless, Crystal. I love, love, love time travel stories, everything from Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court to Gabaldon's Outlander series—book and film versions.
ReplyDeleteVR Barkowski
I wasn't sure how I felt about writing them until this one, but it's actually pretty fun writing across time streams...and really tricky.
DeleteIf ATMs were time machines, would there be a charge for time travel? Or would there only be a charge if I time traveled with another bank?
ReplyDeleteYou're making my brain hurt, woman! I'm thinking I own the ATM, so that solves both problems.
DeleteTime machine ATMs, that would be a fabulous idea for a book.
ReplyDeleteRIGHT?! Why hasn't that been written yet?
DeleteI know what my least favorite time machine is - the one from the movie "The Time Machine." I saw it when I was a child and it scared the heck out of me. I read the book later and it scared the heck out of me too. Probably not so much the machine as the scary Morlock of the future.
ReplyDeleteI loved that movie too. We had it recorded off TV and there was something so awesome about it.
DeleteSo excited for you, Crystal. Your lovely cover has taken over the universe. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteIt has? Wait, does that mean I win? Universe=mine. ;)
DeleteIf time is money, how much does it cost to go back in time...?
ReplyDeleteYour life savings. ;)
DeleteGood question- and the ATM meme made me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best with your cover reveal!
~Jess
Yes! I have succeeded. =) Cheese successfully spread.
DeleteYour cover is so gorgeous! It's been fun seeing it around the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donna. I hope it's been fun.
DeleteWe live in a box, so this is the first we're seeing this new cover, and it's awesome! It's so explosive and colorful. Cheers to a fantastic cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton! I've been awful at getting around in the last week, but it was so much fun to finally visit.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous cover! Congrats, Crystal! So very happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenni.
DeleteHehe the ATM pic--right??
ReplyDeleteYep. More funnies to come.
DeleteStunning cover and love the blurb! I've signed up for the blog tour ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ellie!
DeleteActually I think your question about time vs freedom isn't as "not deep" as you think. I heard recently that Amazon is offering workers the opportunity to have more vacation time with 25% less pay … or they can keep their regular work schedule. What would you if given the option? I know for me it's a difficult choice. You can't do much without money, but, if you have a crazy work schedule, it's hard to have time to do anything.
ReplyDeleteEither way, yay for the blog tour!
Yeah...that's when I'd be looking for a new job.
DeleteYour cover is beautiful, Crystal. It has such an elegant feel to it. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elsie. This one really does the story justice.
DeleteYay, Crystal! Congatulations. I'm thrilled for you. May its success be timeless.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. You know I'd be all about that.
DeleteLoved the meme.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one, eh?
DeleteGood laugh to start my day, Crystal. I think I'll need it.
ReplyDeleteWe always need a good laugh. That's why cheese is MANDATORY.
DeleteShe's so beautiful!!! I'm excited for you...bk III. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you too!
DeleteATMs as time machines, now that sounds like a book ;)
ReplyDeleteCan she escape her clock? That is a profound question indeed. Congrats on the cover reveal and best wishes for the book, it sounds like a mega success already.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the cover and i'm excited for the story!
ReplyDeleteI remember that episode on The Big Bang Theory... Sheldon is a hoot and the show is one of my most favorite ones... I hope the cover reveal is going well Crystal xox
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Crystal!
ReplyDeleteTime machines, ha ha. I love the idea of time travel but I'd be worried about getting injured or imprisoned in an era whose rules I didn't understand. Or, you know, eaten by a dinosaur...
