AND it's that magical time. What am I talking about?
First I brought you this:
Then this:
Now it's time for this:
What's it about?
Time is the enemy.
In 1771, Alexia had everything: the
man of her dreams, reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But
she was never meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and
traveled five hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.
In the thirteenth century, the Holy
Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to exterminate the Passionate, her
bloodline. As Alexia fights this new threat—along with an unfathomable evil,
and her own heart—the Soulless genesis nears. But none of her hard-won battles
may matter if she dies in childbirth before completing her mission.
Can
Alexia escape her own clock?
You know you want to get a first glimpse and help share this awesomeness with the world.
The reveal is happening September 12-14, 16-17, and 19, 2016.

What was your very first piece of writing as an aspiring writer? Where is it now? Collecting dust or has it been published?
My very first piece was a picture book I wrote in 2nd grade, but on a professional level, my first FULL novel (not novella because there were a few of those), was NEITHERLANDS: AWAKENING. The book is currently under contract and revisions are being made as we speak...read...whatever. You have no idea how excited I am to share it with the world. *dances like a loon*
Now enough about me. Let's talk about you, eh? And the awesome book YOU could win this week.
Two weeks ago, Annalisa Crawford shared two truths and one lie with us. The winners were entered to win a print book of YOU. I. US.
The game:
1. I sink when I try to swim, but float away when I'm upright.
2. Due to repeats in the UK, I have watched the complete series of Star Trek: TNG, Castle, Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother multiple times.
3. It took me 6 attempts to pass my driving test.
The lie: #3. In fact, she never passed her test. She was so bad at driving, she gave up way before the instructor even mentioned putting her in for the test!
Way to guess everyone! And the winner is:
...DRUM ROLL...
Congrats, Sharorah!
And now for today's giveaway:
At seventeen, Adeelah Naji is transformed into a genie and imprisoned in a bottle. For a thousand years, she fulfills the wishes of greedy masters—building their palaces, lining their pockets with gold, and granting them every earthly pleasure. All that sustains her is the hope of finding Karim, the boy she fell in love with as a human. When at last she finds a note from her beloved, she confirms he has access to the elixir of life and that he still searches for her.
But someone else also hunts her. Faruq—the man who plots to use her powers to murder and seize the life forces of others—is just one step behind her. With the help of a kind master named Nathan, Adeelah continues to search for Karim while trying to evade Faruq. To complicate matters, she begins to experience growing fatigue and pain after conjuring, and finds herself struggling against an undeniable attraction to Nathan.
As Faruq closes in, Adeelah must decide just how much she’ll risk to protect Nathan and be with Karim forever. How much power does she really have to change her future, and what is she willing to sacrifice for an eternity of love? If she makes the wrong choice, the deaths of many will be on her hands.

Carol gave me two truths and one lie to test your "lie detector" skills. Those who figure out the lie will go into my magic hat for the chance to win an eBook copy of BOTTLED. (Open internationally.)
You have until Tuesday, August 23 at 2 p.m. EDT to guess. Be sure to come back for the answers on August 24, 8 a.m. EDT.
TRUTH OR LIE
2. Carol has been married three times; her current husband is her third.
3. Carol has never gone skiing before, downhill or cross-country.
So sleuths, which is the lie? What does TIMELESS mean to you? Have you signed up to help with the reveal? Do you like genie books?
Annalisa doesn't drive? Wow.
ReplyDeleteYour first book will be published. That is awesome! They always say the first story is junk, but we've proved them wrong.
Hey, if you're determined enough in the editing process, anything can be salvaged, eh?
DeleteWow, it's getting published! Good going, Crystal! I have several practice novels. They're going to stay that way.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's totally okay. We all have different processes. I revise and rewrite rather than moving to something new.
DeleteYay! That's awesome news. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking number 1 is the lie.
Thanks, Misha! I'm stoked.
DeleteCongratulations, Crystal! I know the Timeless cover will be as gorgeous as the others in the series. :)
ReplyDeleteIt will indeed.
DeleteYay! Can't wait to see the cover!! Congratulations on getting your first full lengther in the prep zone! Mine is pending a complete rewrite that quite honestly may never happen.
ReplyDeleteI love genies! Such a pretty cover, too! I'm going with #3 for the lie.
It will happen. You're a total pro. Seriously.
DeleteHope the revisions go well for you :)
ReplyDeleteSophie
Sophie's Thoughts & Fumbles
Knowing the final book in the series is about to come out must really have your heart pumping. I congratulate you on your accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteI tried signing up for your cover reveal, but nothing obvious happened when I pushed the button, so if my name didn't show up on your list, let me know.
Will do.
DeleteWow, congratulations Crystal! I filled in your form and pressed CHEESE, but I'm not sure anything happened. Anyway, I'd be delighted to share your cover and anything else.
ReplyDeleteA genie in a bottle story sounds great! I'm going to say #2 is the lie.
Thanks, Bish! You totally rock.
DeleteIt must be so exciting to finish the third book of a trilogy! Huge congrats! I don't do reveals, but I'd be happy to do a feature when it releases. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're epic, Lexa.
DeleteWTG, Crystal. How exciting. Like Bish, I pressed CHEESE and nothing happened. I'm willing to help, too. #2 is a lie.
ReplyDeleteThanks. My tech is on it.
DeleteIn case anyone else thinks nothing happens, after you leave a comment and hit publish, the info disappears. Sure hope you got it, Crystal.
ReplyDeleteSigned up to help! And congrats on the contract for your first ever novel!! I LOVE that BOTTLED cover! <3 Christy
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you, Christy. You're the best.
DeleteCongratulations on all the good book news!

ReplyDeleteThanks a ton!

ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm pretty stoked.
DeleteExciting news about your new book and how brilliant that your first full novel is going to be published! Yay sending congratulation cheese your way!
ReplyDeleteThank you! First book...ish. I thas been revised a couple times.
DeleteCongrats on your first try. It gives hope to all the rest of us. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
Well, it technically got completely rewritten, but hey, it's still basically the same story.
DeleteCongrats Crystal on your book contract. I love the title of all your books!
ReplyDeleteI am going with #2 for the lie.
Aw! Thanks, Rachna. I'm stoked.
DeleteI love cover reveals! Congrats! I really like your middle cover too.
ReplyDeleteHere's my August IWSG post on my first novel attempt (note I said ATTEMPT). YA Author Stephanie Scott IWSG August
LOL. Hey, if we don't attempt something, we can never accomplish, eh?
DeleteI canNOT wait to see the new cover. I just adore the covers for your books!
ReplyDeleteThe first novel you wrote is under contract right now? That is awesome! Way to go.
Thanks a ton!
DeleteMany, many congratulations. That is so exciting. I signed up for the 12th, but I'm flexible.
ReplyDeleteAnna and Carol...the books look great!
Thanks a ton, woman! You rock.
DeleteHuge congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you've been married three times.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Thanks, Sandee!
DeleteCongrats on the contract for your first book! That is unusual, I think--to really get the first one out there. And Carol's book sounds great! I am guessing her lie is #1--that she is not a swimming enthusiast.
ReplyDeleteI've read three people in the hop who made it happen so far. Maybe it's not as far fetched as we think. But it does require significant revision.
DeleteCongrats on your upcoming novel, Crystal. Way to stick with it too. Congrats to Carol on her new release. I'm going to guess #1 is the lie?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gwen!
DeleteCongrats with completing and launching the last book in your series. So much is happening for you. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Carol too, and number 2 is a big lie.
Thanks a ton!
DeleteWow, just wow! Your covers are gorgeous and congrats on your first novel being under contract!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela!
DeleteI assume that Timeless will have at least two clockfaces on the cover.
ReplyDeleteI will guess that #2 is the lie.
LOL. I guess we'll see. =)
DeleteI missed on Annalisa's Truth or Lie. I'm guessing #2 is the lie for Carol.
ReplyDeleteDarn. It was a good one.
DeleteCongrats on your new cover! I signed up to help :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you, Meradeth.
DeleteHey girl!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You are a writing machine! I signed up but didn't enter a date...
Okay. Not a machine. LOL. If you saw how little I write you'd be disgusted. =)
DeleteCongratulations on your first story becoming your fourth novel! *cheers*
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteTimeless sounds like a very gripping story! All the best on the upcoming release - very exciting!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely gripping. Thank you!
DeleteGo ahead and dance like a loon. That's exciting news.
ReplyDeleteHow's it feel to be wrapping up your trilogy?
Like walking on sunshine. And like walking on sunshine. Surreal.
DeleteHow exciting!! Congratulations on getting one of your first novels published. Lie is #2 :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton!
DeleteCongratulations on your new books!
ReplyDeleteThanks much!
DeleteYay for Timeless! I'm looking forward to seeing the cover. It'll probably be just as gorgeous as the others. Woot woot!
ReplyDeleteIt IS just as gorgeous. It's killing me holding out on everyone.
DeleteCongratulations on having your "first baby" under contract. That is soooo cool.
ReplyDeleteSo, NAME won Annalisa's book, eh? (oops!) Figures. I actually guessed the right fib for a change, but I've already read Annalisa's book. (And LOVED it.)
Okay, I'll guess number one is the lie this week... and I'll keep my emotions all "bottled up" until I find out if I'm right. :)
Oops! Lol. I guess I'd better fix that.
DeleteThere is a winner, I just never got her info up. Must remedy... Providing it won't break my blog code.
DeleteCongrats on your upcoming release! Or rather, releases!
ReplyDeleteI'll guess number one is the lie.
Congrats on all your good news. I think #3 is the lie.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely exciting.
DeleteCongrats on the sale of your first written work. And I love the cover of your other books. (I signed up to help spread the work on your next one. )
ReplyDeleteYou rock! Thank you a ton.
DeleteLots of good news today. :) Congratulations, Crystal! Congrats to Carol as well!
ReplyDeleteIt's that kind of day. =)
DeleteCongratulations on your book being under contract. That's awesome! I'm doing a happy dance for you. :) Wishing you the best of success with it!!
ReplyDeleteThank you a ton!
DeleteCongratulations on your upcoming release! The blurb sounds amazing. Anything with the Knights Templar and I'm there. Fantastic for already having sold your first novel.
ReplyDeleteAlready? It's only 14 years old. About time it got out there, eh?
DeleteShe's trying to stop the Soulless? So she's practically stopping Hilary and Trump? Bless her!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes, please.
DeleteYay! I loved the first two books, so this is a super surprise. Congrats to Carol...and since her book sounds amazing too, I'm going to take my best stab and say that swimming is the lie.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's been long enough, right?
DeleteWow how exciting that another book will be published! Woo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteAll signed up to help with Timeless. I'm flexible on the date so if you need help on one of the others more than the 16th just let me know. Congrats!
Thanks a ton, Julie. You are the best.
DeleteCongrats on getting your first book published! And, all your other publications. You rock!
ReplyDeleteMary at Play off the Page
Nope, you rock. Teaching kids... It's the best, right?
DeleteI'm dancing with you, Crystal!! What a thrill!
ReplyDelete*happy dance*
DeleteSounds like it's been quite a ride!
ReplyDelete@mirymom1 from
Balancing Act
You had better bet it has been.
DeleteCongrats Crystal on books #3 and 4! That's awesome news.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Carol. I'll guess #2 is the lie.
Thanks, Mary!
DeleteCongratulations on your upcoming release!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton!
DeleteI love that your first book was a picture book in 2nd grade :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I should add, it wasn't a school project. It was completely independent, just because.
DeleteCongrats on your upcoming book! And I love that you have a contract on your very first book. Can't wait to hear more about that. I'm guessing that #2 is a lie.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm excited to share more about it. =)
DeleteYour fans don't know what their in for! :)
ReplyDelete=)
DeleteCongrats on your good book news!
ReplyDeleteI guess that #1 is a lie.
Yvonne V
WOw. Congrats on the picture book. I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteOh no, the picture book is not coming out, but my first novel.
DeleteCongratulations on your forthcoming book, Crystal. I signed up. Also, congratulations to Carol. A genie in a bottle reminds me of the TV show years ago, I think it was "I Dream of Jeanie." Might be wrong about that.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch that show all the time. It was a fun one. Oh, and thank you!
DeleteThat show was the inspiration for Bottled, Beverly! But it really isn't much like the show. ;o) I just enjoyed it as a kid.
DeleteWow, your first full novel is under contract. That's amazing. As for the lie I'd say it's number...3.
ReplyDeleteI think so too. Actually, I want to break from all other writing endeavors and just dive in.
DeleteHi, I've just started reading your first book of the series.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm sending you cheese and wishing you safety on Moonless nights.
DeleteI signed up!!! Can't wait for Timeless!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. It's going to be epic.
DeleteCrystal, how did I miss Moonless and Soulless? I'll have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose between the lies, but I'll go with #1.
Maybe I made them invisible when you came here before because I wanted to surprise you. :D
DeleteAshamed that I forgot all about reading book 2 after I ordered it so quickly. I'll get on it before book 3 arrives. I'll get back to the cover reveal sign up after I check my blog schedule. Is #2 the lie? I'll take that as my guess.
ReplyDeleteLife is insanity, eh?
DeleteCongrats on book 3 (personally I think that blue cover with the stars doesn't suit the series, but that's a personal opinion--giggle, sorry, I couldn't help myself...ok, I'm still giggling. That's probably a bad thing...giggle.)
ReplyDeleteI would love to help out with the reveal, but September will be super topsy-turvy for me so I won't be able to nail down a date. When I can be certain, I will get back to you.
And a huge congrats to Carol!!! I've read Bottled and loved it.
Lol. Have you been sneaking havarti? I hear it brings on uncontrollable silliness. :)
DeleteLol. Have you been sneaking havarti? I hear it brings on uncontrollable silliness. :)
DeleteWaiting eagerly for book 3!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover, Carol!! I'll guess that's she's never gone skiiing.
It's worth the wait. :D
DeleteHi Crystal - yes, well done on the book - that's awesome .. no wonder you're dancing around. I love the titles of your books - and Timeless is just perfect to finish the series off ...
ReplyDeleteI too think # 3 - never been skiing ... cheers Hilary
Thanks, Hillary. I want to say the titles came from my publisher, but they actually came from my Pitch Wars mentor years and years ago.
DeleteCongratulations Crystal! I am happy for you and look forward to being a part of your cover reveal.
ReplyDeleteWhat does timeless mean to me? That's when I enter my flow and began writing unaware of the time. I usually write for twenty-four hours and don't even stop to eat and I find out later that I have missed out on a day. That's timeless to me.
All the best.
Shalom aleichem,
Patricia
You can write for 24 hours straight? That is a gift! Amazing.
DeleteOh dear - don't my lies and truths make sad reading - can't swim, can't drive...
ReplyDeleteI'll guess Carol's lie is #1 - either she can't swim either, or she prefers outside swimming in the depths of winter! What a great cover she has!
Talking of covers, I've signed up for your reveal :-)
Yay! Annalisa, people loved your truths and lie.
DeleteBest of luck with the new book!!
ReplyDeleteSigned up for your cover reveal. Can't wait to see the cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton!
DeleteCongrats Crystal on your impending publication. Signed up for your Cover Reveal.
ReplyDeleteWow, Bottled, what a beautiful cover.
Juneta @ Writer's Gambit
That's because you're epic. Much appreciated!
DeleteThanks so much for featuring me on your blog and tweeting about it, Crystal. Much cheese to you!! Can't wait to see your cover of TIMELESS! and best of luck with that book. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol.
DeleteHi, Crystal,
ReplyDeleteYIPPEE,,,, that is awesome. I am hoping some day my first book will get published, until then.... sigh.
READ Carol's book! LOVED IT~ Congrats again, Carol~
Sweet! I can't wait to read it. Been so busy I haven't even processed yet that I can. Hm. Maybe I should sneak a couple hours here or there.
DeleteOh my gosh! I love the premise of Timeless! I hurt for the MCs already!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover, Carol! Best of luck with your book!
Thank you, Melissa. It's definitely a gripping story.
DeleteCongratulations!!! Excellent Work!!! Marching Band and Platters of Cheese personally presented by six gentlemen-in-waiting sporting Fabulous 18th Century Attire.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I'm not turning that down. =D
DeleteWay to go with the series. I can't wait to see the final cover, the first two were awesome and I like how they are different yet clearly belong together. I hope you keep the theme going.
ReplyDeleteSame cover designer, we're good to go. :)
DeleteYes, yes I DO want an early peek at that cover. Yours are some of the prettiest around. Congrats on your first ever novel getting published. That's so exciting. Hope you're having fun with the revisions.
ReplyDeleteLet's see...I'm going with #1, swimming, as the lie.
Yay! You're so sweet. Thanks.
DeleteI think #2 is the lie and I signed up :) Can't wait to see it!!!
ReplyDeleteYippee! Thank you, Marcy.
DeleteCongrats on the cover reveal and your first book getting published. I'll guess the lie is #2.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAwesome news about the first novel you wrote getting published! So exciting!
ReplyDeleteI think the lie is #1. I have been seeing this book around and it looks amazing and sounds like a fascinating read. :)
~Jess
I completely agree with you. I can't wait to get to it.
DeleteI'll go with #1 as the lie, though I grew up in Oregon and there were so many places to swim!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations!
I think I would love Oregon.
DeleteCongratulations! You have done well.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to come back to this post when I get discouraged down the road, eh?
DeleteCongrats on getting your first novella published! So awesome! :) That doesn't happen often.
ReplyDeleteI think the answer is no. 3: never been skiing. :)
Too true--not without a ton of revision and a willingness to toss out ANYTHING that isn't working. I guess the difference is that this story was in my head for 9 years before it ever got written down, so it wasn't a by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of ordeal.
DeleteThat's awesome that your first written novel-length work is getting published. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Carol! I'll guess #2 as the lie.
Thanks, Cherie! It's definitely a happy day.
DeleteI'm in! Can't wait for the reveal:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mark!
DeleteMy goodness! Look at those comments! So much in this post. All lovely news. Congrats to you for having submitted NEITHERLANDS: AWAKENING and now it's going to be published. Awesomeness!

That's because you rock, Denise. Thanks a ton!
DeleteSo exciting about your new book reveal... I've signed up:)
ReplyDeleteYippee! Thank you! Showering you with cheese.
DeleteHey, congrats!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an amazing story.
Thanks a ton!
DeleteCongrats on your first novel Netherlands Awakening getting published! What an accomplishment! I'm horrible at the Two Truths and a Lie game, but just for fun I'll guess that #1 is the lie.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Hey, you never know, right? Any guess is better than no guess.
DeleteCongratulations on getting your next book out this Fall Crystal... Your other covers look great and I am sure the next one will be just as awesome... It sounds like a great story, I love time travel stories, one of my favorite books has the heroine going back in time and changing her future... xox
ReplyDeleteSomething we all dream about on occasion, eh?
DeleteSo cool that you have your first stories ready for publication! Congratulations on all your achievements. Love your positive attitude and your adherence to the goal theory! It works!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with number 2 as the lie. LOL Seems more folks like saying 'I do' more than once.
Annalisa doesn't drive, so funny!
Reach for the stars, eh?
DeleteI chuckled a little too with Annalisa. Then again, while living in NYC, I can totally understand not getting a license.
Wow! Congratulations! Exciting times ahead! I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteTimeless sounds awesome!! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI've never read a genie book but Bottled sounds great! I would say the lie is her love of swimming.
Thanks, Kathryn. I'm excited.
Deleteooh, love that cover! I'm guessing the lie is #2
ReplyDeleteCarol does have a pretty epic cover, eh?

ReplyDeleteOh, so exciting to see Annalisa's book here. Great to see Carol too.
LOL! And you will. You will.
DeleteCongratulations on your upcoming release!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the lie is #2.
Thank you! Actually, I think anyone with a pending book release needs some Tums and an over-sized wedge of cheese...oh and sleep aids.
DeleteCongrats on your good news!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy!
DeleteI think #3 is the lie. Hope I win the eBook!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you, Crystal, on all your good news.
Congrats on the book contract. Exciting times!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess #2 is the lie. Beautiful cover!
I think you're completely right about cheese.
ReplyDeleteAwesome that the third book is on its way! Happy to help with the reveal. I'm guessing number 2 is the lie.
ReplyDelete
