So you want to know what the opposite of cheese is, do you? Let me show you.
Yeah, you think this little guy is not so noxious (or even delicious) in your salad.
He contaminates the WHOLE ENTIRE SALAD. Just for looking at it.
Don't be a salad killer. Ban cucumbers.

I never realized cucumbers were evil.ReplyDelete
They're pretty awesome at hiding it.Delete
bahaha. As a vegetarian (and a picky one at that) I have to put up with the evil cucumber (although I must admit I'm not a massive fan--they hardly have any flavor!)ReplyDelete
Okay, I'll admit it, I love cucumbers. (Although the wax they put on a lot of the cucumbers tastes horrid. And no matter how much you scrub, you can still taste it.)ReplyDelete
If we were having dinner together, I would take all your cucumbers. But you'd have to take all my Brussels sprouts. And beets. Blech.
I love cukes in salads... but I hate radishes, so a radish would be the sidekick.ReplyDelete
lol I love cucumbers. Sometimes I slice cucumbers and put Ranch dressing on it and eat that as a simple salad. hahaReplyDelete
I don't know how this will set with you, but this summer when I had more cucumbers than I knew what to do with, I made salads with chopped cucumbers and shredded cheese alone. They were really good.ReplyDelete
Aw, I love cucumbers chopped up small and crunchy in my salad. I also like them sliced in circles and topped with a square of fontina cheese. (Instead of a cracker.)ReplyDelete
I think the opposite of cheese is -- zucchini. Now THERE is a vegetable that needs to be banned. ;)
I don't see how one can make exquisite crustless sandwiches for one's garden party without a cucumber, but you have a lovely smile.ReplyDelete
LOL! I adore cucumbers, but DH hates them and can smell them a mile away. Once I was in the kitchen making a salad, and he was in the bathroom painting, and even though surrounded by the smell of paint he called out, "Who cut a cucumber?"ReplyDelete
At least Marcia's DH and I also see the evil of the cucumber. The salad? What about while sharing food someone accidentally dashes it on your chicken. Not a good mix.ReplyDelete
Have your read "The BFG" by Roald Dahl? Definitely you'll never look at cucumbers the same way! I think I need some cheese! Have a cheesy Friday!ReplyDelete
I like cucumber in my salads, even tasty with a bit of cheese! No? Am I going too far now, sorry, Crystal. Have a good weekend with plenty of lovely cheese :)ReplyDelete
But they're good for your eyes! I don't really have an opinion on cucumbers. I do like them best cut up inside a salad.ReplyDelete
I like cucumbers. When I was a kid, my girlfriend and I would slice them into a big mixing bowl with onions, add vinegar and black pepper, and then sit out on the back steps with our forks, eating them. The whole darned bowl. Now, I pour off most of the (red wine) vinegar and add a little bit of sour cream. Heavenly!ReplyDelete
But radishes! THERE'S an evil vegetable for ya...
I love cucumber sandwiches!! Had Soulless on my blog as a new release this week. What a great cover!!!ReplyDelete
I'm eating a cucumber sandwich at this very moment as it happens!ReplyDelete
I never know they were evil, maybe that's why I love them so much.ReplyDelete
I like cucumbers in my salad, or dipped in dip(heh). I have never had a cucumber sandwich though. Cucumbers in the middle of bread? That just sounds like it would taste strange. But I will always try things at least once!ReplyDelete
Cheese covered cucumbers?ReplyDelete
I love cucumbers...fresh or pickled, they're all good!ReplyDelete
But I love cucumbers.ReplyDelete
But-but I LOVE cucumbers. Seriously. I used to eat an entire one a day. And they're so good with houmous and GAH. You're crazy. I always drive people mental because I pick the cucumber from their salads and eat it hahaReplyDelete
But I kind of like cucumbers...:-)ReplyDelete
For some reason sliced cucumbers don't appeal to me when it comes to salads. I prefer the cucumbers "diced" and without the middle seeds.ReplyDelete
Haha Crystal, I love cucumbers... especially English cucumbers... they do taste good with cheese... :-D ...ReplyDelete
But they're so good! Just avoid salads like I do and you'll be fine ;)ReplyDelete
I really don't like cucumbers, but I think the only reason for that is that I still associate them with slimy gross sandwiches. like it's a cucumber sandwich with butter, but the cucumber has made the bread soggy and with the richness of the butter it just makes me feel nauseous even THINKING about it. ;)ReplyDelete
Bad childhood memory? :P
I am a vegetarian who loves cukes. Pickles represent Mr. Hyde. Read my recent post for the opposite of the cucumber.ReplyDelete
I....I feel like I'm missing something....and that makes me sad. :( X) *whispers* I actually like cucumbers.... WHOOPS! I'm evil. XD But I stop liking them once they start tasting like nail polish. That's just gross.ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by my blog as you did a few days ago! ;)
Cucumbers are our everyday salad choice!ReplyDelete
LOL this cracked me up. I HATE cucumber. :DReplyDelete
Haha, I totally agree. Cucumbers are evil! ...people have even tried to trick me by blending small amounts into things, but I can always taste them!ReplyDelete
HAHAHA! I love cucumbers. :)ReplyDelete
I hate all versions of cucumbers. Including as a sauce in the gyro. (Yeah, I'm the freak who ordered it with ranch dressing- deal with it!) I also dislike them in the vinegar soaked form of pickles.ReplyDelete
