I don't know about you, but I'm in the mood for some deep thoughts:
And now that we have that out of the way...
GUESS WHAT?!? I was asked to contribute to a really awesome SUPER HERO anthology, and you can get your hands on it
(Soon to be free on Amazon.)

Yuppers. Is that epic or what?
Last week, the fashionable Anna Soliveres shared VIOLET STORM with us, along with two truths and one lie. Those who guessed the lie correctly were entered into a random drawing for the chance to win her eBook.
Anna's game:
And the lie is:
#1. Anna says sadly, she is not an accomplished singer, but she swears she sounds AMAZING…alone in her bathroom…and in her head when she's not singing out loud.
Way to guess those of you who got it right! And the winner is:
Ashlyn – a free-spirited teenager
whose peaceful life is shattered when the village elders honor her with a
perilous quest to recover a stolen relic.
Zane – a jaded mercenary, torn by
his undeniable desire for Ashlyn and the dark secret that could make her hate
him forever.
Delistaire – a malevolent sorcerer
driven by an insatiable lust for power.
All
three are bound together by an ancient relic supposedly infused with the power
of a Goddess.
Shadow
Fire – adventure, passion, secrets, and betrayal
As
Ashlyn and Zane race to stay one step ahead of the evil lurking in the shadows,
their passions are ignited and their bond strengthens. But will they find the
relic before Delistaire? Or has their entire quest been orchestrated from the
very beginning by a madman in pursuit of ultimate power?
Each
installment of the Light Chronicles is a standalone story.

Now let me introduce you to the incredible author:
Kimber Leigh Wheaton is a bestselling YA/NA author with a soft spot for sweet romance.
She is married to her soul mate, has a teenage son, and shares her home with
three dogs, four cats, and lots of dragons. No, she doesn’t live on a farm, she
just loves animals. Kimber Leigh is addicted to romance, videogames,
superheroes, villains, and chocolate—not necessarily in that order. (If she has
to choose, she’ll take a chocolate covered superhero!) She currently lives in
San Antonio, TX but has been somewhat a rolling stone in life, having resided
in several different cities and states.
She is a cheese-aholic. (After my own heart.) Her favorite is Colby Jack—doesn’t have to be sliced, a giant
chunk will do. She enjoys eating it curled up in bed watching TV or a movie.
Kimber Leigh gave me two truths and one lie to test your "lie detector" skills. Those who figure out the lie will go into my magic hat for the chance to win an eBook of SHADOW FIRE (open internationally), and two bookmarks (US and Canada only).
You have until Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. EDT to guess--and be sure to come back for the answer on June 18.
TRUTH OR LIE
1. When she was nine, Kimber Leigh made it through several call backs auditioning for the Broadway
show Annie.
2. She won third place is a city-wide Super Mario Bros. video game contest when she was
a teenager.
3. While in college, she spent
a summer playing Ariel, the Little Mermaid, at Disneyland.
Which is the lie? Do you have any deep thoughts to add? Do you love stories about superheroes (and did you pick up your free copy)?
Tough choices! I'll say number two is the lie.
ReplyDeleteAwesome we are both part of Heroes of PHENOMENA!
I know! *high five* We must rock. =)
DeleteI won! I am so excited! Thank you very much. Now let's test my truth detector skills again...I'm going to say 3 is the lie, because I think she is a dead ringer for Belle.
ReplyDeleteWow. Have you ever looked at a career as a detective? ;)
DeleteCongrats on the anthology! That cookie pic made me laugh…and cry a little, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMadeline @ The Shellshank Redemption
I know. It's so sad...and hilarious at the same time.
DeleteCongratulations with adding your story to the anthology. Your story will have great company.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. Thanks!
DeleteThose are some deep thoughts, man. Wow. XD
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the anthology!
Thanks, Patricia. It's exciting.
DeleteWhat triggered this deep reflection? A lack of cheese or too much cheese? LOL
ReplyDeleteI need to get my copy of Heroes!
LOL. I'm always in deep thoughts, but it's rare I actually share them--because I'm too busy thinking about them. It must be the cheese. ;)
DeleteAbout two weeks ago, I saw a snippet on the news about an annual cheese-rolling tradition in Gloucestershire... I thought about you!
Delete(P.S. I don't think that any cheese was harmed in the process... lol)
The website is www.cheese-rolling.co.uk
What a great collaboration to be a part of!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
DeleteLove the kangaroo picture, and I've picked up my copy of Heroes of PHENOMENA. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI think the lie is #2.
Woot, woot! Awesome. I hope you love it, because you will.
DeleteI am such a murderer of cookies. Cold milk murderer.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Cold milk murderer... Rena, you are priceless. =)
DeleteCongrats to Kimber! I'm going to guess #3 as the lie.
ReplyDeleteOoh! You totally got it. Way to go.
DeleteI love superheroes! Picked up my free copy. Thanks for featuring me today, Crystal.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have you! Hope you thoroughly enjoy the anthology.
DeleteCongrats to Kimber--Shadow Fire looks awesome! And I'm guessing #2 is the lie.
ReplyDeleteIt does, doesn't it? I totally need to get me a copy.
DeleteLOVE the deep thoughts today!! LOL. I'm still laughing over 'cookie murderer'...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the anthology! I'm gonna pick up a copy after this :) And congratulations to Kimber Leigh!
Yay, thanks! *sigh* A the things that get us through the day, eh?
DeleteYour deep thoughts made me smile. And congrats on the anthology and to Kimber on her book.
ReplyDeleteYay, thanks!
DeleteHi Crystal - poor cookie .. permanently ready to be dunked. Great news re the anthology and to many I know ..
ReplyDeleteI think number 3 is what Kimber - good luck to her .. cheers Hilary
You're a lie detector extraordinaire.
DeleteSounds like a great book! I think the lie is #2. Kimber Leigh, I live in SA, too!
ReplyDeleteOops...Crystal - I was so excited to see someone else from San Antonio here that I forgot to say Congrats on the anthology!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Thanks, Carol. You rock. =)
DeleteThe little arms is why...
ReplyDeleteWoot fellow author in Phenomena!
Congrats to Kimber. I'll guess #3 for no particular reason.
Yes! I totally agree.
DeleteI think the lie is #2. That anthology looks great . . . and creepy. I do love superheroes and I love those deep thoughts :-)
ReplyDeleteSuper heroes rock, right?
DeleteLove the drowning cookie and T-Rex deer! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Phenomena!
Cool accomplishment, Crystal. Congrats to the winner.
ReplyDeleteI'd say number 2 is the lie.
Thanks, Joy.
DeleteYay! Happy for all of you involved.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to go murder some cookies right now. :)
LOL. As long as you're merciful about it and give them a quick death, eh?
DeleteWow! Awesome! Congrats to the winner!
ReplyDelete=)
DeleteCongrats on the Super Hero anthology! So much fun stuff in your blog posts.
ReplyDeleteI know. Too much, right? I really need to get back to multiple posts in a week, but I just can't find the time.
DeleteCongrats to the winner.
ReplyDeleteI pick #2 at the lie!
I picked up Heroes of Phenomena over at Smashwords!
Woot, woot! I hope you enjoy it, and cheese to you.
DeleteAww, it's a shame one of those is a lie because they're all very cool! I'll guess ... 1. ;D
ReplyDeleteI know, right? She must be a writer.
DeleteI'm picking #1 as the lie but I'm hoping it's not. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Wishes do come true.
DeleteI like the one about the cookie... didn't we all think that about our cheerios... or was that just me... lol
ReplyDeleteI love your comment to me on my blog Crystal... you love cheese as much as I do... :) To bad my memory is so good about him though...
Yikes! Now I'm drowning my cereal too? What a world, what a world. ;)
DeleteHaha love those deep thoughts! In line with the cookie train of thought, ever since Toy Story, I've always felt bad leaving behind my stuffed animals. Not like I'm a murderer though. . . Congrats on the anthology! It doesn't get much better than super heroes. :)
ReplyDeleteI know! Stuffed animals have feelings too. ;)
DeleteSO great to hear from you, Madeline. I was afraid you got sucked into real life. Fear alleviated.
Those deep thoughts are the best! ^_^
ReplyDeleteCongratulations about the anthology! Will definitely be picking this up!
Hmm...going with #3 this week.
Yay! I hope you love Heroes of Phenomena. It's epic.
DeleteCrystal- Hooray for the anthology!!
ReplyDeleteKimber- love your bio. :D your book sounds great!
My daughter and I had a good laugh about the kangaroo. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI know! But it's so true, isn't it?
DeleteI'm never going to be able to dunk a cookie again...
ReplyDeleteDon't have that killer instinct, eh? ;)
DeleteOoh, that book sounds very cool; going to have to snag it on Amazon once it's available. ^_^ And I'll be putting that cookie picture up outside my cube at work, for the sheer joy of messing with people. Bwa ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I love it! You know what would be even better? If you filmed people's reactions to the picture. =)
DeleteLOL! Kangaroos and cookies will never be the same again...
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it's #2, because #1 and #3 sound so cool. I have such a soft spot for Annie.
ReplyDeleteMe too, especially since the original writer is a friend of a friend and a potential contact for getting our musical somewhere...but that's another story for another day.
DeleteThe superhero anthology sounds cool! I will check it out! :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats and it's wonderful to see many nsmes that I know. I say the lie is number two
ReplyDeleteI know! Is that the line up of awesomeness or what?
DeleteThe kangaroos and cookies pictures cracked me up. I'm never going to look at the two the same way again.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with #2 as the lie.
Same here. It's amazing how such a little suggestion can change your entire outlook, eh?
DeleteNever thought of kangaroos that way, but you're right!! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI think #3 is a lie :)
Give them a carnivorous disposition and we'd all be in trouble, eh?
DeleteI'm eating cheese and typing at the same time;-) How awesome that you are featured with all those great writers! I'm going to guess the lie is #2.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I feel honored for sure.
DeleteT-Rex deers. Haha. I love it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the anthology opportunity!
I'm guessing that #2 is the lie.
Thanks Chrys! I was super stoked to participate.
DeleteOkay, I'm going to get the anthology. BTW, I liked the cookie cartoon, but I figure that if I was planning on eating the cookie anyway, then drowning it first may be the more humane way to go about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's true. So true. Way to think around it. =)
DeleteI love the kangaroo. I am still laughing :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say #1 is a lie. Also, how can she have a teenage son? Was she a child bride?
ReplyDeleteSure. Why not? ;)
DeleteCongrats on Heroes of PHENOMENA - what an intriguing project. The T-rex = kangaroo deer has me both laughing and nodding my head in agreement. The cookie thing makes me sad. I eat Oreos dunked in milk all.the.time so how many cookies have I murdered? I won't be able to sleep tonight because of their screams.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jocelyn.
DeleteLOL. Dead cookies are the tastiest. Just keep that in mind.
It's too late at night for me to have any deep thoughts. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI'll say the lie is #2.
LOL.
DeleteI don't dunk cookies--I hate soggy cookies! But I'm sure I've killed a couple of cookies in my life.
ReplyDeleteYou'd rather they die a teeth point, eh?
DeleteI have definitely not thought about murdering my cookies. I'll have to tell my son that, cause he likes to dunk chocolate chip, and see what he thinks. He'll probably look at me like I'm weird.
ReplyDeleteOr brilliant. Let's go for brilliant here. =)
DeleteCookie killer. Arrrg. Now you ruined dunking forever.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being in that super hero anthology!
LOL. Unless you don't think about it. =)
DeleteI think #2 is the lie and...
ReplyDeleteO_O
I think I'm a cookie psychopath.
I wouldn't expect anything less. =)
DeleteCookie? :-(
ReplyDelete=(
DeleteYes, the act of drowning a cookie in milk does equate with homicide. Thank you for publicizing this.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I keep missing the mark with these truths or lies. But I'll try again: I guess #3 is the lie.
LOL. It's one of those universal truths, eh?
DeleteAnd guess what? YOU GOT IT RIGHT! Way to go, Robyn!
Eep! How did I not know about that superhero anthology?! Congratulations to all of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deniz. I hope you got yourself a copy. =)
