Writerly Wednesday
Last week Sharon Johnston shared two truths and one lie about herself and those who guessed the lie correctly were entered into a random drawing to win a copy of her awesome book, Sleeper.
The options were:
1. When she was young, Sharon was convinced she was adopted because she looked so different from the rest of her family.
2. She herded an echidna across the road.
3. She played a nun in The Sound of Music for her school play.
And the lie is:
#3. She actually played Leisel, not a nun. Ooh, tricky, tricky!
The winner is...
Congrats winners! And now, I'm off on a writing retreat. I'll be back next Monday after my brain has been sufficiently drained of all writerly awesomeness to bestow awards and pretend at being human.
If you could go anywhere to just relax and create, where would you go?
Mmm...cheese...
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your writing retreat! I don't know where I would go to relax and write, but there would need to be electricity. I've tried just bringing a notebook out into nature, but it never works.
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteI need me some cheese!
ReplyDeleteAnd, hey! All the winners are ladies. I sense a conspiracy here...
Congrats winners and cheese me!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners! And I would go to Sequim, WA. It's where my dad used to live and it was so pretty. Especially their top balcony- on a clear day, you could see into Canada.
ReplyDeleteJust bought a fantastic local cheddar for Christmas and thought of you! Yay I guessed the lie, must have had my head on that day! Enjoy your retreat :)
ReplyDeleteHope your cheese won't run out while you eat and relax.
ReplyDeleteWriting retreat? Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHome is my place to relax and create. I'm more focused at home.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Aww, congrats to Julie :) Have fun at your retreat!!!

ReplyDeleteHave a nice relaxing retreat! Hope you get lots of good writing done. :)
Hope the retreat is wonderful. I'm thinking of some time at St. Simon Island in Georgia for a writing retreat.
ReplyDeleteI have retreat envy.
ReplyDeleteHave a great retreat. I think you deserve a relaxing break too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your creative getaway. I'd love to write at the beach if I could figure out a way to keep the sand out of my laptop...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a great blog tour! And also to the winners of the cool prizes!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your writing retreat (although, after your marathon tour, I'd think a retreat from writing would be more in order, lol!)
Congrats to the winners!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun time at your retreat! :)
Congrats to the winners!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Julie and all the awesome winners of Moonless!! I cannot believe I got so behind that I missed entering the mystery sentence game. I found 6 of the words, but apparently lost my brain and missed some recent posts. Oops. Crossing my fingers for more chances to win in the future. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, so many winners this week. Hope you have fun on your retreat!
