Who doesn't love a chance to share what they're working on?
DL Hammonds is hosting a wonderful blogfest this month, and I'm going to be there. Are you? It's all about what you're working on now, or your Work In Progress. (WIP) It's also about finding friends to hold your hand through the long journey to success. Inspired by Devo's song, Whip it, we're asked to share:
WIP Title:
Word Count:
Genre:
How long have you been working on it?:
Elevator Pitch (if you came across an agent in an elevator ride, what couple of lines would you use to summarize your book):
Brief Synopsis (250 words or less):
Are you looking for a Critique Partner?:
Are you looking for a Beta Reader?:
And now for the theme song:
Ready for the hard part? Which work of awesomesauce are you going to share?
Heyya pal of mine. I've been trying to get over here for two blasted weeks. Something ALWAYS comes up This blogfest sounds like fun, but I need to write. (Homeschool is almost on summer break, YIPPEEE!) Hey. The new picture book I started is pouring out of me now. Hip hip hooray! *waving* MWAH!
ReplyDeleteYay! We finished our year up about a month ago, so we've cut back to part time for a couple months. It definitely makes getting to writing easier. --And I'm all kinds of stoked about your recent picture book updates. The muse has returned!
DeleteP.S. Copy editor!!!!! I left out a period. SHEESH. *shakes head at self*
ReplyDeleteDon't we all need a copy editor when we get happy fingers? ;D
DeleteSounds like a good blog hop! I think I'll need to find new critique partners. I'm moving, so I'm going to lose my awesome critique group. :( I'll see if I can find time to do this.
ReplyDeleteOh man, moves can be so hard. I don't tend to stay in one place very long, so all of mine are online, and the convenience is awesome sauce. If you can't make it, let me know. I'm part of a facebook group that's super awesome and all for beta reading/finding critique partners for YA writers. ;)
DeleteOH man, I remember Devo. I remember we had never seen...anything...quite like them in my neck of the woods. And you know, I have still not seen anything...quite like them...except them. Those funny little hats. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your blog hop! I admire your resilience, I am still taking a deep breath from the A to Z!
Crazy people make for great memories, eh? Oh, and here's an inhaler. They help, so I hear. ;D
DeleteI plan to be there too!
ReplyDeleteAll the best! Have fun :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I will. ;)
DeleteThis is a great idea and totally what my WIP needs right now. Thanks for posting about it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I could help. Looking forward to reading more about it. =D
DeleteI rarely do blog hops anymore, but I signed up...I look forward to reading about everyone's WIPs. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm with you on that, but I think it's going to be fun.
DeleteI haven't done a blog hop like this in ages! Signed up - thanks for spreading the news.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading about your work, Margo!
DeleteOoh, a theme song for the blogfest! That's a great idea! Of course, now it's going to be stuck in my head the rest of the day :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL. That's the point, eh? ;)
DeleteYou ROCK!!!! I am SOOOO looking forward to May 31st!
