TIME IS THE ENEMY

In 1771, Alexia had everything: the man of her dreams, reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But she was never meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and traveled five hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.

In the thirteenth century, the Holy Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to exterminate the Passionate, her bloodline. As Alexia fights this new threat—along with an unfathomable evil and her own heart—the Soulless genesis nears. But none of her hard-won battles may matter if she dies in childbirth before completing her mission.

Can Alexia escape her own clock?

    1. Right? And why not. It makes me wonder if he got stuck or if he chose to stick around.

  2. As a diabetic, I definitely don't want to live in a different time period, so you don't need to do any convincing when it comes to me, LOL. Loving those funnies!

And wow, your book is all over the blogosphere lately. Congrats! :)

    1. No kidding! I very much like my air conditioning.

Yeah...this cover reveal is actually MUCH smaller than the last one, but it is everywhere. Trying to expand to other circles with the tour.

  3. gorgeous cover

Congrats...I think I lived before in the 1200s. I was a serf. It was a hard life. I was drafted to fight. Died on the battlefield in agony.

This life is turning out much better.

    1. Thanks, Mac! I'm super in love with it.

The 1200's doesn't sound very fun to me. I've read and written in that era. Worse for women, I think.

  4. Your cover is possibly the most exultant example of time travel I've ever seen. I like it. ^_^

And while being able to time travel might be fascinating (and ridiculously dangerous), I don't know if I'd want to live in any past era. You're right that there are a lot of things we take for granted nowadays that weren't around in the past, sometimes not too far in the past.

    1. Sweet, and thank you!

I'm with you there. How would I survive without my COMPUTER to WRITE?! ;)

  5. I can't think of any era I'd like to go back to. I'm extremely interested in ancient Egypt, for example...but I wouldn't want to live there!

    1. Agreed. Maybe we just need a looking glass to the past, eh? But then that could get stalkerish and a little freaky--because who would be looking in on us?

  6. Hmm... I think I have to have toilet paper so I guess backward time travel is out for me, though I used to fantasize about being back in Camelot at King Arthur's court but I wouldn't want to be a peasant... or for that matter a woman so I guess I'm pretty happy in the here and now! :)

Beautiful cover! I can't wait to read Timeless, it sounds like a great story!

    1. Yeah. Knights and castles sound glorious until you think about cold stone under your feet at night, dank drafts, and people dying it FREQUENT battle.

      Yay! It's epic, I promise.

  7. Hi Crystal .. yes I'd miss quite a few things - warmth at all times of the year with being under cover, a good bed ... but I'd love to know what happened ... perhaps I can spend my days in space time, and then have a good night's sleep - and do it in phases ... so I can catch up at home!! Cheers Hilary

    1. Oh yes! We love our AC here, but not to have warmth in the winter? Yikes. That could be downright deadly for some locations.

  8. Toilet paper, I sure would miss that!

    1. Right? We'd have to use those funky European cleaners?

  10. I've always wondered how it would be to travel back to medieval times. It sounds so romantic, until think about how bad it was back then compared to now. I'd rather not have my illusions dispelled, so I'll just stick with books.

    1. I agree. First of all, without acne medicine, my skin would have been a mess. No thank you! Secondly, I rather like having changeable clothes. And showers. Oh, don't get me started on showers!

  11. 1880? What did they use before then? (Actually, I don't really want to know...)
I haven't read the first book yet, but I remember meaning to when you first brought it out. I will get around to it eventually!

  12. I don't know how they survived without toilet paper.

  13. TP was a most excellent invention. I'll remember not to go back further in the past than 1880.

  14. While I refuse to travel to traumatize younger myself. I'm tempted to go back to two periods. One to meet Shakespeare and the other to meet Jesus. Bye toilet paper and Modern English. I think I'll take one of those expert language professors with me as a buddy.

    1. The only way to travel, although you might have to brainwash your expert afterwards. Can't have him/her blabbing about the experience and getting thrown in the asylum. Worse yet, if the government catches wind of the time machine, all kinds of trouble could break out.

  15. Time travel? I only dream about it constantly:) But I'd definitely bring plenty of modern TP...probably some penicillin too:)

    1. Definitely penicillin, and probably some antibiotic cream too. Maybe even a nose plug.

  17. I definitely want to live post toilet paper and running water.

  18. The more I read about history, the less appealing going back became - especially England!! All the crap women had to put up with...not to mention all the creepy diseases they had back then. No thanks. Lol!

I love that toilet paper meme!! ^_^

    1. Yeah, we definitely have never lived in a time when women had more say or freedom. I really do like that.

  19. I'd want to nose around into the past, but only with the guarantees that I wouldn't catch plague and wouldn't be subjected to violence if I felt like nosing around on a battlefield or, as a woman, just in life.

  20. You had me at the toilet paper stat. Good grief.

  21. I'm going to have to look up when I'm on Unicorn Bell next before I sign up. I'll get to that. Eventually...

What time period would I want to visit? It changes with my moods.

  22. Time travel is an interesting thought, I don't think I would like to go back too far, I wouldn't have survived back in the day, I like electricity, running water... toilet paper... lol xox

  23. Yeah... I think I'll stick with my TP timeline. :D
